Picosecond Laser Vs. Nanosecond Laser Technology: 

The difference between picosecond and nanosecond lasers is the pulse width.  Picosecond lasers have a shorter pulse width, typically 300ps-2000pd.  Picosecond laser technology is faster than nanosecond lasers in breaking down pigment.  However, nanosecond lasers also completely remove all types and colors of pigment.  Both accurately target the tattoo ink, causing microscopic fragmentation that can be easily eliminated by the body.
