About Picosecond Laser Technology:

A picosecond laser is a highly advanced laser, which emits pulses, each with a duration of just picoseconds.

Following the principle of selective photothermolysis, shorter laser action times result in less energy being absorbed and spreading to surrounding tissue. This allows for a more targeted treatment of the intended area, minimizing potential damage to surrounding normal tissue.

The picosecond laser has a pulse width that is just 1% of the traditional Q-switched laser, resulting in minimal heat conversion and a reduced photothermal effect. This allows for more thorough breakdown of pigment particles and stronger selectivity, leading to improved treatment outcomes for pigmented skin lesions in shorter time frames.

By likening original pigment particles to rocks, the traditional Q-switched laser can break them down into pebbles, while the picosecond laser can reduce them to fine sand, significantly enhancing the absorption efficiency of pigment fragments.
